I have been in the 'lab' for the last few months giving NorrisNetwork a major overhaul. I have really been researching and implementing strategy for domination of the internet. And it's paying off. Social Media is taking over and I had to make sure we were on the cutting edge. For example, the newest craze with social media is www.twitter.com. For those of you not familiar, it is kinda like text messaging but online. You are only limited to 140 characters, so you cannot say much, and it was designed that way! I wanted to take the time to thank you for all your support and prayers as we have reached another milestone! I want to introduce you to the latest development, NetworkNation.
Being a huge believer in personal development, myself and a few of my associates developed a Major Convention for Network Marketers to be held in Houston, TX on October 3 and 4. Please see www.NetworkNation1.com. You would not believe how much favor God has shown me on this event from negotiating the venues to being able to land hard-to-get speakers, it has been one wild ride.
Currently, I am making a huge marketing push. So, if you would, please send that link to anyone you know that is involved or wants to know more about the Network Marketing Industry. The event will be grand!

I am so happy to say that this first half of 2008 has been GRAND! Albeit we have seen many challenges, God continues to open doors! My life's quest has become clearer than ever before. Right now, I have laser focus, and I'm hoping you have the same!
I have found something I think could really help you grow. I ran across this program called Success University. The have an online school (think University of Phoenix) where you have access to life lessons from some of the greatest minds ever assembled. From Jim Rohn, Les Brown, Suze Orman, and many others, this is a power-packed curriculum that a true learner should be a part of. The power of the whole program is that it is ONGOING, not the usual here's a course, then you're done.
There is a cost. It is $49.00 per month; however, you can try it for two weeks for $2. And that $2 is donated to charity! There is an affiliate arrangement where you can make money for referring people, but that's not what I'm pushing.
I have researched and analyzed many self-development programs. If you were to gain access to all these programs individually, it would cost you in excess of $20K, easily, but here you get it for $49/mo. Your business develops to the degree you develop! See www.no-more-excuses.net.

Progress

I want to update you and ask for your prayers on a current project I am involved with. After I had a hand in conducting a retreat for my church, I saw the lasting effect of large crowds. Pure, unbridled synergy is a wonderful thing to watch unfold.
So, my question to me was, "how do you transfer that to the business world?" I had been to a few conventions, and on MANY teleseminars. However, I had never thought to do one myself. Fast forward to July 1, 2008. I am now in the planning stages of having one of the largest conferences in Houston. We are expecting 2000+ people. We are bringing in speakers from all over the country.
It's going to be a bonanza! It is focused on Network Marketers and Homebased Business Persons. Topics covered are going to be leadership, self-confidence, legalities, taxes, and other subjects that pertain to this market. Everyone is on FIRE about it!
Hold on to your seats, NorrisNetwork is about to go into orbit!

Hard Work!
Hello NorrisNetwork,
I have just returned from Indianapolis, Indiana. I attended a week-long speaker training seminar, and boy was it intense! We were speaking, training, and practicing from 6 AM to 9 PM. I have been to trainings before, but this one was different. It really stretched me as a speaker, professional, entrepreneur, and mostly as a person.
I want you to look at where you are on your walk to your success. Are you complacent and going through the motions? If so, maybe you need to STRETCH yourself to get to that next level. That may mean giving up some free time to read. Or it may mean working a couple extra hours to have enough money to invest in that business endeavor. Find out where you are lax and put extra energy into that area.

Please Read Now: Extremely Important!
Hello NorrisNetwork,
I hope today finds you prosperous and in good health! Every time I speak with you my goal is to make sure I'm encouraging you to forge ahead. I believe in each and everyone of you, and will not stop until you reach the levels of success you deserve!
I have something very serious to share with you today. I want everyone to take inventory of where you are in life. Look at your accomplishments, look at your friends and family. Now what if all of a sudden all that vanished? How would you feel? Would you feel it was unfair? Would you feel as though, "if I only had one more moment?" Let me share with you why I'm taking this route today.
For the last two days I have been in Nacogdoches, TX, my hometown. I come here periodically to spend time with my mother and my nieces and nephews. In my mom's neighborhood the older people are extremely tight-knit. Everyone knows everyone, and they all look out for one another. Upon my arrival, my mom's next door neighbor was sitting outside waving at everyone, as she always does. I spoke to her and came on in the house.
This morning, I awoke to ambulance sirens. They happened to be coming from next door. All her family members were standing outside when the paramedic came outside and pronounced her dead. All I could think was the fact that I had just saw and talked to her a few hours earlier!
How precious life is! I want EVERY ONE of you to find the persons most precious to you and tell them you love them! DO IT NOW! Then, I want you to sit by yourself and make a list of all the things you want to accomplish before you leave this place. Make it relevant and make it time sensitive. And most of all make is mean something.
Remember, we only have ONE SHOT at this thing, let's do it in GRAND STYLE!

Launch is going fabulously! I wanted to take the time to thank you for all your support. NorrisNetwork.com is one of the fastest growing communities on the Net. As a result, we have been nominated by one the the members of a The National Black MBA Association as Entrepreneur of the Year! All the praise goes to you, because without you, none of this would be happening!
A couple updates for you. We will be beginning a weekly teleseminar series soon. The focus will be on bringing various experts and guest authors to NorrisNetwork to share their expertise with you. We will need everyone's participation in these events. A typical teleseminar will consist of a 60 minute interview on their subject matter and how it would benefit NorrisNetwork members. Additionally, members of NorrisNetwork will have a chance to ask candid questions of the author. In order to make sure every event is impactful, I want you to send me the names of authors or experts that you would like to hear on NorrisNetwork. What will happen is, pretty soon authors will be in line to talk us about their books and/programs.

New Blog Site!
Hello Friends,
The time is approaching! As we get nearer to May 15th, I wanted to update you on another development. We are about to change our blogging platform from Blogger to Wordpress. I found this necessary for a couple of reasons. First, the user interface is more friendly. I've been told by many of my students that it is sometimes a challenge to post comments. Also, many times Blogger (for whatever reason) will delay the posts I make for up to two days, so that by the time you get it, it may be 48 hours late.
Wordpress has been around for a while, and was recommended to me by many experienced bloggers. So, what I'm asking you to do is click on the link to your right regarding your New School of Success and enter your email address there to continue to share in the great work that is NorrisNetwork!

At the crux of NorrisNetwork.com is my desire to see everyone live a life of prosperity, wealth, health, and success. If you review the previous blog posts, I always seek to uplift, educate, and empower my students to really push beyond the status quo. I firmly believe we all deserve the best that life has to offer and then some!
So, I took some time away to research, study, and develop a platform that would facilitate taking the average person from where they are to where they desire to be! I looked back on my life to review the template I was given. I'm sure many of you were told the same thing, "go to college, graduate, get a Good Job, work for 40 years, retire, and wait to die". As I matured, I discovered that very few people who follow that methodology wind up successful. As a matter of fact most of them end up living very unfulfilled lives. (See Part 2)

LIFE
Hello All,
Hope everyone is having a grand New Year! 2008 is definately a year of new beginnings. I write now to tell you of the latest events in my life and business. I like being able to share with you my experiences so that maybe, just maybe, I may help someone along the way.
When I first started on this journey called NorrisNetwork, I was optimistic, enthusiastic, and opportunistic. I knew everything was going to be rosy. After all, God ordained it didn't He? (Yes, He did by the way). I had events planned, I had investors lined up, I had a bulletproof business plan, and many brave souls who wanted to be involved. Slowly, people began to fade. Phone calls of those so eager to help in the beginning went unanswered. Investors who had pledged thousands of dollars to support the initiative instead had other things "come up" suddenly. Family and friends scoffed, "why don't you get a real job" at me. Many, save three gentlemen (P-Nut, Edward Shaw, Ken Nettles, I love you guys), now doubted the same dream they rallied behind only a few months earlier. So that made me learn alot about people and their places in your life. Be careful who you share your dreams with. The same people who praise you will scorn and ridicule you. Life has a way of challenging the fiber of one's soul. Sure, we would all like to skate through life and have no problems or bumps in the road. But, I ask how would we grow? How would we learn? How would we be able to minister to others? We couldn't! That is the point. The last few months has taught me to be even more resilient in what God has called me to be! NorrisNetwork is now as vibrant and as strong as ever! Watch out!

Hope everyone is having a grand New Year! 2008 is definately a year of new beginnings. I write now to tell you of the latest events in my life and business. I like being able to share with you my experiences so that maybe, just maybe, I may help someone along the way.
When I first started on this journey called NorrisNetwork, I was optimistic, enthusiastic, and opportunistic. I knew everything was going to be rosy. After all, God ordained it didn't He? (Yes, He did by the way). I had events planned, I had investors lined up, I had a bulletproof business plan, and many brave souls who wanted to be involved. Slowly, people began to fade. Phone calls of those so eager to help in the beginning went unanswered. Investors who had pledged thousands of dollars to support the initiative instead had other things "come up" suddenly. Family and friends scoffed, "why don't you get a real job" at me. Many, save three gentlemen (P-Nut, Edward Shaw, Ken Nettles, I love you guys), now doubted the same dream they rallied behind only a few months earlier. So that made me learn alot about people and their places in your life. Be careful who you share your dreams with. The same people who praise you will scorn and ridicule you. I am a living witness, as Im sure some of you are.
